Point Flottant was approached by Publicis Luxe and Prodigious to create two 3D animations for the launch of the new Lancôme Idole fragrance campaign. The challenge was to create faithful 3D replicas of the Idole fragrance products, while capturing their intricate glass treatment and unique finishing effects.
Creating the 3D Idole fragrances
Based on the photo shoot provided by the client, we created 3D models of the Lancôme Idole products to achieve accurate representations of the bottles. Each version of the fragrance had a specific look and feel, ranging from holographic and iridescent effects to subtle gradients and gold interiors.
Animation 1 - Family
The first animation, "Family", features the four Idole fragrance products in an elegant and fluid movement that works in a perfect loop. The camera circles 360° around the products, while each fragrance bottle also rotates 360° on its own axis. This creates an immersive viewing experience that showcases both sides of each fragrance bottle.
Animation 2 - Nectar
The second animation, "Nectar", showcases the ingredients used in the new Idole fragrance edition. Popcorn and rose petals fly around the product, while vanilla beans appear behind it. This animation highlights the natural ingredients used in the fragrance, while incorporating playful elements that add to the overall aesthetic of the campaign.
